SPEECHES

Leading Sustainable Agile Transformations: Aligning Stakeholder Needs with Operational Realities

Agile transformations often fail due to a disconnect between top management's vision and team realities. The presentation focuses on bridging this gap, emphasizing operational execution and stakeholder engagement. Let’s explore why business and stakeholder analyses frequently miss the mark, leading to a lack of motivation and energy among teams crucial for daily transformation efforts.

The discussion will highlight the importance of integrating internal early adopters and aligning transformation strategies with organizational culture. Rather than relying solely on external consultants, I propose the utilisation of their valuable broader perspective together with mechanisms which ensure long-term adoption. I will address how to navigate diverse stakeholder needs and foster a culture of ownership among team members, which is vital for sustainable change.

The session will also cover setting effective metrics to measure the pace of transformation and its impact on operations. Attendees will gain insights into leading agile transformations that are not only strategically sound but also operationally viable and deeply rooted in team engagement and stakeholder alignment.

Authentic Organizational Culture: Building Effective Teams Through Shared Values

We explore the impact of genuine engagement and shared values on team effectiveness. This presentation emphasizes that effective team behaviors are rooted in common values, and it highlights the importance of monitoring these values for positive organizational outcomes.

A key focus of the presentation is the practical application of these concepts in everyday scenarios. It emphasizes that recruitment, onboarding, and daily work meetings are not just routine processes but critical opportunities for shaping and testing the organizational culture. This approach contrasts with the less effective use of banners and bulletins traditionally employed in culture-building efforts.

Scaling Agile Effectively: Understanding the Need and Navigating the Controversies of SAFe

Practical benefits of scaling agile versus typical mistakes in implementation.

After agile approaches have firmly established themselves in project and product management, many organisations face the challenge of scaling these practices. The presentation aims to explain why and when agile scaling is needed, and what benefits can be derived from it. I will focus on the practical aspects of implementing SAFe and other scaling models, analysing both their advantages and potential pitfalls. I will discuss the typical mistakes that organisations make during the implementation of agile scaling, and how to avoid them. An important part of the presentation will be the opportunity for discussion about different perspectives and opinions regarding SAFe, encouraging participants to critically approach the choice of appropriate tools and strategies in the context of their organisation's specifics.

Leader as the team coach - in business analysis and beyond!

Every day, they prepare their team on how to tack amidst the changing needs of the client and deliver valuable results.

In the era of constant change and increasing customer expectations, the key to project success often lies beyond traditional technical skills. In this context, business analysis competencies take on new, decisive importance. My presentation focuses on how leaders can inspire and equip their teams with these essential skills by using daily opportunities, tasks, and challenges.

In the presentation, I emphasise the importance of so-called power skills – key soft competencies that are fundamental in business analysis. I will talk about how to recognise which of these skills are most desired in your team and how to effectively develop them. I will present examples of specific, proven methods such as evidence-based learning, coaching, and microlearning, which will help you integrate the learning process with your team's daily tasks.

By showing practical examples and anecdotes from my own experiences, I will illustrate how understanding the customer and effectively gathering feedback can benefit your team. Finally, I will offer advice on how to step by step develop analytical work skills, which will help your team not only achieve better results but also be more engaged and motivated.

Partners Not Masters: Rethinking Client Relationships in Project Management

Building effective partnership with clients - assertiveness built on four real pillars instead of tips&tricks.

Project managers must implement the right model of collaboration with the client. It should effectively address their actual needs while creating a work environment where the team is not only willing to act but can also focus on the project’s scope. The attitude of “we order - you deliver” often hinders this, isn't conducive to creativity, and can additionally be demotivating for the team.

Authentic partnership with the client is a proven answer to this challenge. What elements should it be based on, and how can it be developed? How should meetings be conducted, and what attitudes should be promoted in the team comprising the combined forces of the client and supplier? How can we use the intelligence of the entire team, including AI, in this process? This is precisely what we will be working on.

We will not rely on standard assertiveness tricks like FUKO, SBI, or other “how to say no” techniques, but on pillars that help develop a lasting solution.

Beyond the Project and the Product: Crafting Sustainable Value through Agile Business Analysis

This workshop is designed for professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of how even a good product may not always be the ultimate source of value. Aimed at experienced trainers and business analysts, this session emphasizes the importance of adopting a mindset of 'beginning with the end in mind' to achieve long-lasting value generation.

Participants will explore the journey from identifying user needs to creating sustainable value. The workshop will delve into recognizing and overcoming the challenges teams face in this journey. We will discuss strategies for agile business analysis, focusing on practical ways to collaborate with stakeholders. This includes building a deep understanding and managing communication effectively, particularly in meetings, while prioritizing and managing the backlog based on value delivery.

This session is ideal for those looking to enhance their skills in aligning business analysis with sustainable value generation. Attendees will leave with actionable insights into creating durable and impactful solutions, beyond just delivering a product.

Building Successful Teams with Proactive Culture Management

In this workshop, we explore the crucial role of "Extreme Engagement" in projects and organizations and discuss strategies for monitoring and enhancing team engagement. The workshop focuses on implementing specific actions to foster desired behaviors within teams, vital for promoting a successful and collaborative environment. Through practical exercises, attendees will share experiences and develop strategies tailored to their team's needs. This session is ideal for those looking to create a cohesive, engaged, and high-performing team culture.

This workshop is an opportunity to transform theoretical concepts into actionable strategies. It's ideal for leaders, managers, and team members keen on building a cohesive, engaged, and high-performing team culture.
